Image Processing Software

I am looking for an Image Processing program that can read bubbles or a barcode. What I want to do is read the bubbles or barcode and rename the file to what every the bubble/barcode result is. Any suggestions?

Ben Davies's Gravatar I don't have a specific name but I know I read about a Java library that could generate and read 2D and 3D barcodes. It was definitely on the blogoshere somewhere.

I'm not sure about the license - I think it was commercial but relatively cheap.

I wouldn't have mentioned it but you haven't had a great number of comments so I thought I would confirm that such a beast exists.
